Cysts (Ganglions)

Ganglion and mucoid cysts are fluid-filled lumps that can form around joints or tendons in the foot and ankle. A common treatment involves draining the fluid with a needle (aspiration) and then injecting a small amount of steroid medication to help reduce inflammation and lower the chance the cyst comes back. This procedure can relieve pressure, decrease pain, and often avoid the need for surgery.
